Last week Swankety band Gabby Young & Other Animals found their way into Swankety Swank.

Visiting our fair city on their US tour, they loved our Swankety style, as much as we love theirs. I’m sure you’ll understand this love fest after watching the video for Ask You A Question.
Our artists create just the type of unique garments and accessories that any animal would love to wear. In fact, Gabby is quite the rock fashionista, known for her decadent and glamorous personal style.

We won’t be telling you what they bought, or what to wear to look like Gabby or the Other Animals because Swankety style is not only about putting your dollars behind artist’s work over mass-produced garments, first and foremost it’s about being unique and true to your own style and vision.
Of course there is nothing wrong with being inspired, and we certainly are! We would love more chances to dress folks as daring and fashion-forward as Gabby Young & Other Animals, so we hope they stop by Swankety Swank again.
If you’re in the Bay Area, they’ve already come and gone, but those in the mid-west and east coast can still catch a show. They’re kicking off their world tour, so check their website for dates and see when they are coming to a city or town near you.
Speaking of community, we love that Gabby & Other Animals re-recorded one of their most lovely songs, We’re All In This Together, to raise relief funds for Japan. (available on iTunes.)
