A commenter looking for the hours on our site put a fire under me to get this information out there. So here are the WINTER HOLIDAY HOURS.
But before I give you those, first take a look at a thoughtful bit of commentary in CNN’s Geekout blog. They linked to us in their Steampunk reference to the “Glue some Gears on it” blogpost.

"Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows" starring Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law.
My favorite quote from this article, (regarding the idea that Steampunk may be too mainstream) was expressed by author Emilie P. Bush when she said, “I think a rising tide lifts all boats here. There is great creativity to be had, and in general, steampunk is an optimistic movement. It’s a very loving and supportive subculture.”
Speaking of Steampunk, THE 2012 winter quintessential steamy event is coming this January. I am speaking of The Edwardian Ball and intend to see each and every one of you creative, expressive geniuses there.

We are honored to be a resource on their site and hope that you’ll visit us for all of your retro-futuristic gear. If you have just arrived from there, feast your eyes upon our Inspiration Guides to see what our local artists offer here at Swankety Swank.
In other fantastic commentary, check out this article about our Heroic Tarot Reader, STORM and his Swankety Swank experience with his clients. We love the amazing illustrations and note-worthy reporting done by The Bold Italic.
Now regarding note-worthy, I must add that, should you wish to own a one-of-a-kind iconic steampunk image, then do invest in my last art piece of 2011: The Depths of Midnight Octopus Nightstand. ($400) or other pieces from my magickal assortment here.
Oh right… and here are the Holiday Hours:
Open December 24th 12-5pm
Closed December 25th-27th
Closed New Year’s Eve to January 3rd.
Please enjoy yourself with family and friends during the Holidays. I am discovering that those moments are the most treasured experiences that this short life can bring.
I leave you with the toast to the New Year that my hunky husband would say: “Salud!”
